Payment Options

1. Payment is expected when services are rendered. In order to focus on our patients' needs, customer service and minimizing costs, we do not bill.

2. We accept debit cards, credit cards, checks and cash. All cards must be signed by the owner of the card.

3. Deposits are required upon drop off for procedures.

4. When unexpected illness strikes a pet, unexpected expense strikes as well. Wood River Animal Hospital understands this and is able to make some special arrangements through the CareCredit or ScratchPay program. It takes just 5 minutes to complete an application and will allow you to break down your payment into monthly installments. You can either apply at our hospital, where we'll call in your application over the phone for immediate approval, or apply yourself online at:

Additionally, some clients may qualify for financial assistance through local organizations such as Friends of Animals In Need (401-489-3645) and Stand Up For Animals (401-414-4785). We’re always happy to help guide you toward available resources.

We also strongly encourage pet insurance as a way to help plan ahead for unexpected medical needs. Pet insurance can help offset the cost of both emergency and routine care, giving you more flexibility in making medical decisions based on what’s best for your pet - rather than cost alone. Many plans are customizable, and enrolling early while your pet is healthy often provides the best coverage options.
