Angelo arrived at Wood River Animal Hospital with no resume, no references, and absolutely no intention of working - but somehow still got hired full-time. His official title is “Hospital Cat,” but his real job description includes: supervising humans, interrupting productivity, and reminding everyone that they are, in fact, working for him.
He spends his shifts rotating between extremely important duties such as sitting directly on paperwork that is currently needed, blocking computer keyboards at critical moments, and staring into the distance as if he just diagnosed your soul (the prognosis is unclear). If you hear a mysterious crash followed by silence, don’t worry - that’s just Angelo conducting a quality assurance inspection of gravity.
Angelo is also known for his “customer service.” He greets clients by pretending he was absolutely not napping five seconds ago and then slowly walking away mid-introduction like he has a much more important meeting elsewhere. Despite this, he remains wildly popular, mostly because he has successfully trained the staff to provide treats on demand.
In his free time, Angelo enjoys ignoring expensive cat beds in favor of cardboard boxes, judging everyone equally, and pretending he does not know you when you call his name too loudly in public.
